An international youth seminar aimed at empowering young trade unionists and strengthening youth leadership within workers' organizations is scheduled to take place virtually on 11 August 2026.

Organized by TUI-PS&A in collaboration with the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), the seminar will be held via Zoom starting at 15:00 Central Africa Time (CAT). Held under the theme "Youth to the Front! Building Class Orientated Trade Unions," the event seeks to encourage greater youth participation in trade union activities while promoting solidarity among young workers from different countries.

According to the event organizers, the seminar will provide a platform for participants to discuss the challenges facing young workers, strategies for organizing in modern workplaces, and the role of youth in shaping the future of labour movements.

The meeting is expected to attract youth representatives, trade union members, labour activists and students from across the world. Organizers believe the discussions will help strengthen international cooperation among young workers while equipping participants with knowledge and skills to advocate for workers' rights.

The event's message, "Organise! Educate! Mobilise! The Future Is Ours!", underscores the importance of youth leadership in advancing strong, democratic and worker-focused trade unions.
