Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains what data Osmara Digital Media collects, why, and the choices you have. Osmara Digital Media is operated from Kampala, Uganda, and is registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB).

Cookies we use

We group cookies and similar technologies into three categories.

  • Essential — required to run the site: keeping you signed in, security, and remembering your preferences such as theme, display currency and consent choice. These are always on.
  • Analytics — anonymous, first-party measurement of which stories are read, on what device, and from which sources, so we can improve our journalism. No cross-site tracking.
  • Advertising — measurement of ad performance and, where configured, third-party ad networks (for example Google AdSense).

Your choices

If you visit from the European Union, European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. You can accept all, reject all non-essential, or choose per category using the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time by clearing the a55-consent cookie in your browser, after which the banner will appear again. Elsewhere, essential cookies run by default and you can still opt out through your browser settings.

What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. If you subscribe, we store your plan and payment records; card and mobile-money details are handled by our payment providers (Pesapal and Flutterwave) and are never stored on our servers. Analytics events are anonymous and are not linked to your identity.

Third parties

We use Pesapal and Flutterwave to process payments, and may use Google AdSense to serve advertising. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes on our behalf.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@osmaradigitalmedia.com.
