Dr Michelle Corral Returns to Uganda With Mission to Support Refugees and Spark Revival

KAMPALA, Uganda — American evangelist and humanitarian Dr Michelle Corral has returned to Uganda with a mission to support refugees and vulnerable communities while calling for spiritual revival and stronger Christian leadership.

Corral, who is visiting Uganda for the third time, said her ministry in Uganda is focused on combining faith with practical support for people facing difficult circumstances.

Speaking during a pastors’ conference in Kampala, she said her immediate priorities include supporting refugees with food, clothing, education and access to clean water. “My primary objective right now is to feed refugees—to feed them, to bring clothing, to bring education, to open doors of destiny for those who have no chance,” Corral said.

She said her humanitarian work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves dignity and an opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Corral also called on Christians to look beyond social, cultural and national differences when responding to people in need.

She referred to the biblical story of the Good Samaritan, in which a Samaritan helps an injured man despite divisions between their communities, saying Christians should be willing to help people they may not know or understand.

Her message in Uganda also carried a strong focus on forgiveness and reconciliation. “There are secrets on forgiving our enemies. Yes, there are secrets on blessing people who persecute us—this is the Gospel,” she said.

Corral warned that resentment, bitterness, arguments and unforgiveness can undermine both personal progress and spiritual growth.

She said true Christian success should not be measured only by wealth, influence or social status, but by how people use their opportunities to serve others. “The platform is never about you,” she said, stressing that influence should be used to help the poor and marginalised rather than promote an individual.

Corral predicts revival in Uganda During the interview, Corral described Uganda as a country with significant spiritual potential and said she believes the nation is approaching a period of revival. “I think Uganda is on the brink of a revival,” she said.

She added that Uganda could become an example to the world of what she described as biblical success, with Ugandans being raised to make an impact both nationally and internationally.

Regional delegates attend Kampala conference The conference has attracted pastors and delegates from across Uganda and other African countries. Delegations from Kenya, including Nairobi and Mombasa County, are taking part alongside participants from Tanzania, South Sudan, Nigeria and other African countries. Uganda is also represented by delegates from different regions of the country, with West Nile among the regions fully represented at the gathering.

The diverse participation has given the conference a broader East African and continental character, bringing together Christian leaders from different communities to share experiences, strengthen relationships and discuss the role of the Church in society.

Mission extends beyond Uganda Corral said her work is not limited to Uganda but forms part of a wider ministry programme across East Africa.

She cited pastors’ conferences and refugee-related programmes in South Sudan and Kenya, with plans to extend the work to Tanzania.

The ministry's humanitarian focus includes water projects, food assistance, clothing and education, particularly for refugees and communities facing limited access to basic services.

Corral also said she hopes to encourage pastors in the United States and other parts of the world to use their influence to support vulnerable people, regardless of their background.

Her return to Uganda therefore combines preaching, pastoral engagement and humanitarian advocacy, with refugees, the poor and marginalised communities at the centre of her stated mission.

For Corral, the central message is that Christian influence carries a responsibility to serve others, while Uganda, she believes, has an opportunity to play a greater role in spreading that message beyond its borders.
