PAJAMA, YUMBE DISTRICT — Seaborn Football Club demonstrated its attacking potential in a friendly match against Black Leopard FC from Omugo in Terego District, following blessing prayers and words of encouragement from elders of Pajama.

The match provided Seaborn’s players with an opportunity to demonstrate their footballing abilities before the elders as the club prepares for the 2026/2027 season.

Seaborn controlled much of the game, applying sustained pressure on Black Leopard. Seaborn pushed forward in numbers, keeping their opponents largely confined to their defensive half.

Seaborn demonstrated attacking ambition through its ability to move forward and occupy dangerous areas around Black Leopard’s penalty box. Their persistent pressure forced the Black leopard side to concentrate on defending, limiting its opportunities to build meaningful attacks.

Black Leopard struggled to establish a consistent attacking rhythm as Seaborn maintained its territorial advantage. With much of the contest played in their defensive half, the visitors found it difficult to move the ball forward and create clear scoring opportunities.

However, Seaborn’s attacking dominance did not always translate into decisive finishing. One notable attacking moment saw several Seaborn players surge into the danger zone, putting Black Leopard’s defence under intense pressure. Despite creating a promising opportunity, confusion among the Seaborn attackers disrupted their movement and shooting angles, allowing the Black leopard team to escape the immediate danger.

The moment highlighted an important area for Seaborn to improve as it continues its preparations for the new season: coordination in the final third.

While the team demonstrated its ability to dominate possession and put opponents under pressure, better communication, positioning and composure in front of goal could help turn promising attacks into goals.

Beyond the action on the pitch, the encounter formed part of Seaborn’s efforts to introduce its players to the elders of Pajama, whose blessing prayers and encouragement were intended to inspire the team as it embarks on the new campaign.

The occasion also provided an opportunity for the players to demonstrate their potential before community elders and other supporters, reinforcing the club’s connection with the community.

As Seaborn looks ahead to the 2026/2027 season, the team will be seeking to build on its attacking strengths while improving its efficiency in the penalty area.

The match against Black Leopard offered an early indication of the players’ ambition and attacking intent, while also highlighting the need for greater teamwork and precision in the decisive moments of a game.

For Seaborn, the broader objective remains to develop local football talent, give young players opportunities to showcase their abilities and build a competitive team capable of representing the community with pride.
