ENTEBBE, Uganda — August 24, 2026 — President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday met Abdulhalim Hafidh Ameir, son of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who led a Tanzanian delegation to State House in Entebbe.

The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest between Uganda and Tanzania, including strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing regional development.

Ameir was accompanied by George Nkya, Amal Garang and Mundhir Mohammed Nassor.

President Museveni welcomed the delegation and held discussions with them on the issues presented during the meeting.

The engagement comes as Uganda and Tanzania continue to strengthen relations and cooperation in areas of shared interest.

The talks also provided an opportunity for the two sides to discuss regional matters and explore areas that could further deepen cooperation between the neighbouring East African countries.
