Opportunities Beyond Competition The event is expected to encourage collaboration between schools, universities, private companies and policymakers while inspiring thousands of learners to pursue careers in engineering, artificial intelligence and software development.

Such competitions also create opportunities for investment, partnerships and knowledge exchange that can accelerate industrial growth across East Africa. Challenges Remain Despite encouraging progress, significant hurdles remain. Many schools still lack computer laboratories, reliable internet connectivity and trained robotics instructors. Access to funding for young innovators also remains limited, particularly in rural communities. Bridging these gaps will require sustained investment from government, development partners and the private sector. The Road Ahead Uganda's robotics journey is still in its early stages, but the momentum is growing.
