Mungu Feni Honoured as Entrepreneur of the Year as Euro Gold Refinery Wins Platinum Award

Gospel artist and businessman Mungu Feni has received special recognition as Entrepreneur of the Year during the 2026 Business Excellence Awards held at Serena Hotel in Kampala.

The recognition celebrated Feni’s contribution to entrepreneurship, business growth and job creation, alongside his work in the gospel music industry.

During the prestigious awards ceremony organized by Consumer Publications Uganda Ltd, Euro Gold Refinery Ltd was declared the 2026 Platinum Winner for Best Natural Resources and Extractives in Uganda.

Speaking after receiving the recognition, Feni said his business philosophy is built around value addition, job creation and transparency.

«“We believe in value addition, we believe in job creation and we believe in transparency. It is because of this that we are able to receive this award,” Feni said.»

Feni said he was surprised and happy to be recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year, describing the achievement as an important milestone.

He stressed that the award should not be viewed as a personal achievement alone, but as recognition for Uganda’s young people who are pursuing entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for others.

«“This award is not only for me, but for all the youth in Uganda,” he said.»

The Platinum Award for Euro Gold Refinery Ltd recognised the company’s contribution to Uganda’s natural resources and extractives sector, highlighting its focus on value addition and business development.

The Business Excellence Awards, organized by Consumer Publications Uganda Ltd, bring together companies, entrepreneurs and leaders recognised for outstanding achievements and impact across different sectors of Uganda’s economy.

For Feni, the recognition marks another milestone in his journey of combining gospel music, entrepreneurship and business leadership while championing opportunities for young Ugandans.
