American Philanthropist Dr Michelle Corral to Lead East Africa Fire and Anointing Conference in Kampala

KAMPALA — UGANDA: American philanthropist, pastor and founder of Breath of the Spirit Ministries International, Dr Michelle Corral, is set to return to Uganda for the third East Africa Fire and Anointing Pastors’ Conference, alongside a humanitarian mission targeting thousands of vulnerable people in Kampala.

The conference is scheduled for August 24–25, 2026, at the Sharing Youth Centre in Nsambya, Kampala. The first day will run from 8:00am to 6:00pm, while the second day will run from 8:00am to 2:00pm.

Dr Corral has travelled to more than 50 countries over the past 48 years, holding conferences aimed at encouraging and strengthening Christian ministers. During her international ministry, she has also met several Heads of State and supported humanitarian initiatives in different parts of the world.

Her work in Uganda has included the East Africa Fire and Anointing conferences, construction of water wells, medical camps and weekly feeding programmes serving communities in Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement and Imvepi Refugee Settlement, among other initiatives. According to Dr Kivimbi Earnest Benjamin, President of Heal the Planet Global Organization, Dr Corral has also supported humanitarian interventions in refugee settlements and vulnerable communities across several countries.

“We have hosted Dr Michelle Corral previously during the East Africa Pastors’ Conferences and other programmes across Africa. Her ministry has consistently combined spiritual empowerment with practical humanitarian support,” Dr Kivimbi said.

He said Dr Corral was recently hosted alongside the Prime Minister during a humanitarian engagement where she donated aid worth US$350,000 to Nakivale Refugee Settlement.

“Dr Michelle has donated millions of dollars in humanitarian assistance in different countries. Her commitment goes beyond conferences because she has continued to support communities through food, water, medical assistance and other forms of humanitarian aid,” Dr Kivimbi added.

Humanitarian Mission to Feed 5,000 People.

As part of this year's programme, the organisers will hold a humanitarian mission in Katanga, Kampala, on August 26, 2026, featuring a feeding programme for about 5,000 people and a medical camp.

The humanitarian activity will be held in honour of the late Mother Teresa, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate and renowned humanitarian, whose birthday the organisers are commemorating.

The organisers say Dr Corral was associated with Mother Teresa and that the humanitarian mission is intended to celebrate her legacy of service to vulnerable communities.

Pastors to Prepare Nation Ahead of Conference

Ahead of the main conference, influential Ugandan pastors are expected to address the media and the public on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10:00am at St Platinum Hotel, Nsambya.

The briefing will provide details about the conference, its objectives and the humanitarian activities planned as part of the programme. President Yoweri Museveni is also expected to attend the major event, according to the organisers.

Heal the Planet Highlights UN Engagement

The conference is being organised with the involvement of Heal the Planet Global Organization, which says it is registered as an NGO and holds special consultative status with the United Nations.

According to the organisation, the status enables it to participate in UN conferences and engagements in locations including New York, Geneva and Vienna, as well as present issues of global concern through relevant UN platforms.

Heal the Planet also says it is a member of the Youth Coalition for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an umbrella platform bringing together 25 youth-led organisations in Uganda advocating for implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The organisation further lists affiliations with the UN NGO Major Group, Youth Leaders Forum, Desertification Youth Forum, Global Pact NGOs for Environment, and the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), among others.

Organisers say the upcoming conference will combine spiritual leadership, ministry development and humanitarian service, with participants expected to include pastors, church leaders, humanitarian actors and other stakeholders from Uganda and across East Africa.
